Hamilton Dog Park

Hamilton Dog Park, often called Crosby Park Dog Park, is a fully fenced off-leash park at 53 Royal Terrace on the Hamilton/Albion border in Brisbane. It sits within the Crosby Park sporting precinct and offers separate fenced zones for large and small dogs, which makes it a practical choice if you want secure off-leash exercise without mixing size groups.

The dog setup

Only dogs inside the fenced sections may go off-leash; the surrounding sporting fields and pathways require a lead at all times. Owners keep their dogs within sight and under control, clean up immediately and ensure vaccinations are current. Waste bins are provided on site.

The entry is double-gated for secure transitions, and there are fresh water taps with bowls, benches for owners and grass underfoot. Two things to plan around: shade is partial, so midday sessions can be sunny, and the ground can turn dry or patchy through the dry season.

Pepsi: bring a spare bowl. The taps are the popular spot when the park is busy and the queue is real.

The vibe

This is a local neighbourhood yard rather than a destination park, and the split large/small zones are what regulars value. Weekend mornings tighten up when sport is on at the precinct, so weekday visits are the quieter bet.

Getting there and parking

The address is 53 Royal Terrace, Hamilton QLD 4010. Parking on Royal Terrace is limited and gets tighter on weekends when sport is running. Albion train station is a 10 to 15 minute walk away, and bus routes along Crosby Road and Sandgate Road stop within walking distance. Entry into the park is flat and easy for older dogs.
