Crosby Park Fenced Dog Park sits at the southern end of the Crosby Park precinct on Crosby Road, Albion, and earns its name honestly: the off-leash enclosures are fully fenced with double-gated entries, and it runs around the clock. Separate sections for big and small dogs make it a dependable pick if your dog is nervous around larger playmates.

The rules

Once inside the gate, dogs are off-leash, but owners need to stay within the enclosure and keep voice or hand control over their dogs the whole time. Bag dispensers and bins are supplied and cleaning up is mandatory, and dogs stay out of the adjoining sports fields and ovals whenever matches are underway.

Max: Stick to your dog's size section even when the other side looks quieter. It keeps the play fair and stops any surprise scuffles at the gate.

There is parking on-site and along Crosby Road, and Albion train station is a short walk away, which makes this an easy stop by public transport. The park sits just off the Inner City Bypass side of Albion, so it works as an after-work session for the inner north.
