What visitors mention
Bulimba Riverside Park's fenced dog park sits right on the Brisbane River at 47 Love St, a large fully fenced off-leash area on open grass that is one of the better-set-up dog parks on this side of the river.
The rules. The fenced area is off-leash, but dogs must stay on lead in the surrounding general parkland and along the riverside walkway. Owners need to stay with their dogs at all times rather than leaving them unattended, keep them under voice control, and clean up after them using the bins provided. Dogs should be registered and current on vaccinations, as with any Brisbane City Council off-leash area.
What's there. The fenced area has sturdy high fencing, water bubblers, shaded spots and benches for owners, and dog waste bins. Outside the fence there is a children's playground, picnic tables and barbecues, so it works well if the visit is a mixed group with kids as well as dogs.
Getting there. The park is on Love St, Bulimba, with on-street parking nearby, though it fills up on weekends. The Bulimba ferry terminal is a short walk away via the riverside walkway, and local bus routes serve nearby Oxford Street.
Nearby with the dogs. Most cafes along Oxford Street offer dog-friendly outdoor seating, an easy follow-on after a run in the park. The riverside walkway itself is a good on-lead stretch if your dog needs to burn off more energy before heading home.

Weekday mornings are the quietest time to visit. Afternoons, evenings and weekends draw the biggest crowds, so if your dog is reactive or easily overwhelmed, aim for an off-peak window.
