Tamborine Beer Garden

Tamborine Beer Garden is a relaxed, roomy eatery in the Tamborine Mountain village, an easy stop for Gold Coast and Brisbane day trippers who bring the dog up the range. The venue's own site invites furry companions along, particularly around Sunday live entertainment, and the outdoor garden is where dogs settle: rustic tables on grass and paving under large umbrellas, with real space to spread out rather than a footpath squeeze.

The dog setup

Dogs are welcome across the open-air garden areas, on a lead and under control. The grassed setting gives dogs a comfortable spot to lie while you eat, and water bowls are usually floating around the garden, though on busy days bringing your own travel bowl is the safe play. Weekends bring crowds and live music, so if your dog prefers calm, a weekday afternoon in the garden is the quieter booking.

The vibe

The beer list is the headline: a large spread of local and international craft beer on tap and in bottle, including an exclusive Tamborine Mountain brew that is always on, alongside ciders, spirits and barista coffee. The bistro menu runs from breakfast (buttermilk pancakes, big breakfast plates) through the famous chicken schnitty, battered snapper burgers and salmon to pizza, pasta and vegetarian mains like the Veggie Tower. Live acoustic acts play weekend afternoons and there are outdoor games on the lawn, so it leans social. Doors open 7am daily, seven days, with the kitchen running through to the evening.

Getting there and parking

The venue sits at 106 Long Road, Tamborine Mountain, about 30 minutes up the range from the Gold Coast and an hour or so south of Brisbane. There is a free onsite car park plus street parking nearby; both fill on weekend lunch rushes and music days, so arrive early. Note the national park sections on the mountain do not allow dogs, so keep walks to the village streets and council parks.
