Watch-outs. The reserve fronts the Coomera River and Saltwater Creek, which are tidal, so shoreline conditions shift through the day. Because the off-leash zone has limited fencing near the water, keep a close eye on dogs that are inclined to wander or swim. Crowds build early morning and late afternoon on weekends when locals are out exercising their dogs. Weekday mid-morning and early afternoon are notably quieter.
