FINO at Seppeltsfield

FINO at Seppeltsfield is the Barossa Valley's benchmark fine diner, set inside the estate's original 19th-century bottling hall at 730 Seppeltsfield Road, with exposed brick, high rafters and a serious cellar of local and estate wines. It is also one of the few restaurants at this level where the dog can join you, provided you plan ahead.

The dog setup

Dogs are welcome on the outdoor terrace only, not inside the main dining rooms, and the arrangement starts at booking: you must mention your dog when you reserve so the team can allocate a suitable terrace table. Do not assume a walk-in will work. On the terrace, dogs stay on a lead and under control at all times, and the FAQs recommend bringing your own travel water bowl rather than relying on the venue for one. Terrace seating is weather dependent, so if the forecast turns, expect the outdoor plan to change. Registered assistance animals are permitted inside as normal.

FINO serves lunch daily from 12pm to 3pm, built around a shared-style Modern Australian menu that leans hard on Barossa provenance: structured course journeys from a three-course express option up to four and five-course sharing menus, with brisket, gnocchi and pork among the dishes that keep coming up. The wine list runs deep on local labels, including Seppeltsfield's own still and fortified wines. Book through the FINO website, adding the dog note in the booking comments.

Getting there and parking

The estate village sits on Seppeltsfield Road between Tanunda and Greenock, roughly 70 minutes from Adelaide. Parking is available around the estate, and the grounds themselves are historic and open, which makes an on-lead wander between the car and the terrace part of the outing.
