Luma Seaford

Luma Seaford is a Vietnamese restaurant at 20 Station Street in Seaford, a couple of minutes' walk from Seaford Station and an easy stroll from the beach end of the suburb. It runs breakfast, lunch and dinner across a broad traditional menu, and the footpath seating out front is where dogs are welcome, which makes it a practical feed before or after a walk along the bay.

Dogs join you at the outdoor tables on Station Street, leashed and settled beside you. The indoor dining room stays people-only. Water bowl availability is not something the venue confirms, so carry a portable bowl if your dog is fussy, and pick the quieter side tables if the footpath row is busy.

Worth knowing

The food is the reason people come. The menu runs the classics: banh mi on fresh rolls, pho, spring rolls, curry puffs and curry chicken rice, served in a modern, casual room by a young team. Hours run from 11am to 10pm Tuesday to Friday, with weekends starting earlier from 8am; Monday is closed.

Getting there and parking

It is about a two minute walk from Seaford Station if you come by train, and street parking runs along Station Street with more space near the beach end of the suburb. Weekday lunchtimes are the calmest window if you are working on restaurant manners with a young dog.

Pair it with

Keast Park and the off-lead dog beach at the end of the pier are minutes away, so the natural shape of the visit is a run on the sand first and banh mi after. Seaford (Keast Park) Off-Leash Dog Beach is the closest listed stretch of sand, Beach Cafe Seaford covers coffee by the pier, and Biersal Brewery & Beerhall pours its own beers for a pub-style dinner option in the same suburb.
