Biersal Brewery & Beerhall

Biersal Brewery & Beerhall is a family-run craft brewery at 27 Hartnett Drive in Seaford, pouring traditional European-style beers brewed on site. The beer garden is the dog zone: leashed dogs are welcome outside, which makes it an easy afternoon stop after a beach or foreshore walk with the dog.

The dog setup

Dogs are welcome in the outdoor beer garden and courtyard on a leash. The brewery hall inside is people only, so plan on garden seating, and on a busy session it pays to arrive early and claim a table away from the serving paths. Water bowls are usually available but bring your own to be safe, and keep your dog settled under the table rather than socialising across the garden if it gets crowded.

The tap list runs to around 14 beers and ciders, heavy on German and central European styles: helles, kolsch, wheat beers, pale ales and IPAs, plus two hand pumps for traditional cask ales. Wines and spirits cover anyone not drinking beer. Food is limited to snacks, and the venue is relaxed about you ordering delivery in from local shops, which solves dinner for the table if not the dog. Getting there and hours

The brewery sits on Hartnett Drive, with a free on-site car park plus free street parking out front. It is closed Monday to Wednesday, opens from 2pm Thursday and Sunday until 8pm, and runs later, until 10pm, on Friday and Saturday. Sessions are afternoon-and-evening affairs rather than a lunch stop, so time the dog walk before you come.
