Rad's Cafe & Pizza

Rad's Cafe & Pizza is a hybrid cafe and pizzeria at 12 Belgravia Terrace in Rockingham, tucked a street back from the beachfront in a quieter residential pocket. It runs breakfast and lunch from 8am to 2pm, Tuesday to Sunday, and has built a strong local following on owner-led service and freshly baked, authentic-style pizzas that regulars order even at 10am.

The dog setup

Dogs are welcome at the outdoor tables, which are casual and roomy enough to settle a dog on a lead beside you. The owners are known for warm, personal hospitality and that extends to four-legged visitors; bring your own water bowl to be safe, as one is not always out. The entry is wheelchair accessible, which helps with prams and wide-bodied dog beds too.

Worth knowing

The menu straddles both halves of the name: all-day breakfast with a well-liked scrambled eggs, beef and chicken burgers, pasta, and a solid run of vegetarian options, plus coffee with praised oat milk lattes, milkshakes and cakes. The Sunday roast is the cult item, appearing on selected Sundays as a special rather than a standing fixture, so check ahead or arrive early if that is the mission.

Getting there and parking

Belgravia Terrace sits just off the main Rockingham beachfront strip, with free street parking out front and along the neighbouring streets. Being set back from the foreshore keeps it calmer than the beachside cafes on busy weekends. Note the hours: mornings to early afternoon only, closed Mondays, so this is a breakfast-and-lunch stop rather than a dinner one.

Close by with the dogs
