Spill the Beans @ Palm Beach Jetty is an unfussy, old-school cafe sitting directly opposite Palm Beach Jetty on The Esplanade, and the alfresco tables out front are where you and the dog set up. Coffee, all-day breakfast and a beach across the road - that is the whole pitch, and it works.

The dog setup. Dogs are welcome at the paved outdoor seating directly in front of the cafe, not inside the counter area. Staff are used to dog walkers, but bring your own bowl rather than counting on one being out.

Known for. Cooked-to-order breakfast and lunch, good coffee and a casual crowd of locals, cyclists and families. The draw is the position more than the menu - you are right on the water.

Getting there and parking. 16/91 Esplanade, Rockingham. Street parking runs along The Esplanade with more beachfront bays near the jetty. It fills on warm weekends, so come earlier.

Nearby with the dogs. Walk it off on the Esplanade coastal path or cross to Palm Beach itself - check the City of Rockingham signage for the on-leash and off-leash zones before you let the lead go.

Best as a relaxed weekday breakfast stop before a foreshore walk; weekend mornings get busy fast.
