Bean at the Beach

Bean at the Beach is a small, friendly foreshore cafe at 41 Rockingham Beach Rd, opposite Bell Park, and it goes out of its way for dogs. This is one of the few spots on the strip that genuinely caters to them, with puppuccinos and dog biscuits on hand.

The dog setup. Dogs are welcome on the footpath seating, and regulars report dogs are also allowed indoors here - unusual for the strip. Water bowls are typically out, and the dog-specific treats make it a real walk-and-coffee stop.

Known for. Flavoured coffee beans (ground for home or brewed in), bacon and egg rolls, and the dog-friendly extras like puppuccinos. Casual breakfast and lunch with park and ocean views.

Getting there and parking. 41 Rockingham Beach Rd, on the foreshore. Free street parking along the road, wheelchair accessible.

Nearby with the dogs. Bell Park is directly opposite for a stroll, and the Rockingham foreshore path runs the coast for a longer on-leash walk. Check council signage for designated off-leash beach areas.

Pepsi: a cafe that does a puppuccino is worth the detour - just keep it an occasional treat, not a daily one.

Opens early and closes around 1pm, so it is a morning stop; quieter on weekdays.
