Dôme Café - Rockingham

Dome Cafe Rockingham sits on the foreshore strip at 15 Kent Street, a reliable all-day option opposite the parklands and a short step from the beach path. For dog owners it is the practical pick: wide footpath seating out front, long hours, and a spot on a busy walking route where staff and regulars are used to dogs.

The dog setup

Dogs are welcome at the outdoor and footpath seating, on lead; the inside room is people only. It sits on a busy walking route between the foreshore parklands and the beach path, so four-legged visitors are an everyday sight. Water is sometimes put out but bring your own bowl to be sure, and give staff a heads up if the front tables are busy.

The vibe and the menu

It opens 6am to 7pm every day, which makes it work for a morning coffee, a long lunch or dinner after an evening walk. The menu is the familiar Dome all-day list: big breakfasts, eggs benedict, burgers, toasted sandwiches, homemade pies and a serious cake cabinet, with vegetarian dishes and a kids menu. Reviews are mixed on consistency at busy times, but the foreshore position and hours keep it useful.

Getting there and parking

Kent Street parking is available along the foreshore, and the cafe is an easy walk from the Rockingham beachside precinct. The Rockingham fenced dog park is the closest off-lead option for a proper run, and Bean at the Beach is another dog-friendly coffee stop on the same side of the suburb.
