Viet Deli

Viet Deli is a family-owned Vietnamese street food restaurant at Unit 14/47 McCoy Street, Myaree, in the light-industrial pocket between Booragoon and Applecross. The founders trace the menu back to Hanoi and Saigon: combination pho with slow-simmered broth, banh mi on crispy baguette with house pickles, bun vermicelli bowls, goi cuon rice-paper rolls and com tam, made fresh daily and open seven days at lunchtime.

The dog setup

The venue's listing flags dogs allowed outside: you bring the dog to the outdoor footpath space at the counter-service front, not the indoor dining room. McCoy Street is a casual commercial strip rather than a busy cafe precinct, which keeps things easy for a settled dog. Bring your own water bowl, and if you have a larger dog, check with staff on arrival or call (08) 9317 6708 ahead, because footpath space is limited and the arrangement is loose rather than a marked dog zone.

Myaree itself has no big park of its own, so pair the meal with a run nearby: Kadidjiny Park on Kitchener Road at Melville is minutes away with open grass, and the City of Melville keeps its wetland paths on-lead.
