Delicious Fingers

Delicious Fingers sits at 350 Marmion Street in Melville and trades 6am to 5pm on weekdays, 6am to 4pm on weekends, so it is one of the earlier opens in the western suburbs. The draw for dog owners is the alfresco and footpath seating along the front, where well-behaved, on-lead dogs are welcome.

The dog setup

Dogs are permitted in the outdoor seating only, in line with health regulations, and need to stay on the lead. Water bowls are typically provided out there, so your dog is looked after while you order. No dedicated dog menu, but the street-side tables get enough dog traffic that staff do not blink at a well-mannered regular.

Worth knowing

The menu runs well past standard cafe fare: breakfast and brunch staples, burgers including a Cajun chicken and halloumi number, field mushroom dishes that regulars single out, acai bowls, fresh-squeezed green juices, and handmade Nepali-style momos and dumplings at lunch. The interior walls double as a rotating gallery of local artwork, much of it for sale, which gives the room a different look every few months.

Getting there and parking

Street parking runs along Marmion Street and the neighbouring side streets, and it tightens up during the peak breakfast rush, so build in a few minutes on weekends. Free Wi-Fi and step-free access cover the practical side.

Close by with the dogs

Pair the visit with another dog-friendly table: Pig & Fig Cafe in Attadale is a few minutes west with its own outdoor seating, and Blendcraft in Bicton covers the second coffee. Fat Boyz Bicton handles the bigger appetite down the road.
