Tonics@Tullys Juice Bar

Tonics@Tullys is the juice bar at Tully's Corner, the big produce store on the Moorooduc Highway in Mornington. Cold-pressed juices, superfood smoothies, kombucha and acai bowls are served from a food-truck-style setup, and the venue's own message to dog owners is explicit: friendly dogs on leads are always welcome outside, whether at the juice bar benches or in the cafe gardens.

The dog setup

Dogs on leads can use all of the outdoor seating: the bench-top seats at the juice bar and the surrounding garden areas, which have open grass and trees to spread out in. The one hard rule is that only assistance dogs go inside the enclosed produce store, so if you want to shop the market aisles, bring a second person to hold the lead. Access from the car park is flat and easy, and there is plenty of room for a dog to settle without crowding other tables.

Max: split the errand. One of you grabs the produce while the other holds a bench seat with the dog, then swap for smoothies. It beats leaving anyone tied up at the entrance.

Worth knowing

The juice bar runs on fresh fruit and top-shelf ingredients, with the acai bowls and protein smoothies the regulars' picks and decent iced coffee for the non-juicing half of the table. Tully's Corner is open 7:30am to 5pm every day, and the market-side setup means weekends are busy but never tight for space.

Getting there and parking

The address is 6/631 Moorooduc Highway, on the corner of Wooralla Drive. There is a large free gravel car park shared with the produce store, which makes arriving with a dog genuinely easy, a rare claim for a Mornington stop on a weekend. The Mornington beaches and Main Street are a short drive away.

Close by with the dogs

For water time, Royal Beach Dog Off Leash Area is the year-round off-leash beach across from Mornington Park, and Civic Reserve Fenced Dog Park is the nearest fully fenced run. For a sit-down brunch afterward, The Winey Cow on Main Street keeps the dog-friendly run going.

The natural loop: off-leash play at Royal Beach on a fine morning, then an acai bowl and cold-pressed juice on the Tully's Corner benches with the sandy dog lying at your feet. In summer, go early, because the gravel car park gives no shade by midday.
