What visitors mention
A lively Mexican cantina in the heart of Main Street that makes a point of welcoming dogs, with front footpath seating where leashed dogs can settle while you eat.
The dog setup. Dogs are welcome in the front outdoor and footpath seating, on lead beside your table, with room to sit calmly. Staff are happy to bring a water bowl on request, handy on warm days. Only assistance dogs come inside; regular dogs stay in the outdoor area.
Known for. A strong gluten-free Mexican menu, fresh guacamole, tacos, enchiladas and fajitas, plus margaritas and a happy-hour crowd. The vibe is fun and casual, which suits a relaxed dog.
Getting there and parking. 111 Main Street, in the thick of the dining strip. Street parking along Main Street is limited at peak dining times; side streets such as Albert Street and the nearby public car parks are easier for walking a dog in.
Nearby with the dogs. Pine Avenue Reserve and Civic Reserve fenced dog parks are both a short drive for an off-leash run, and the foreshore is close for a coastal walk (mind the seasonal beach rules).
When to go. The footpath tables are best on a mild, clear day; aim outside the happy-hour rush if your dog prefers a quieter table.
