Pine Avenue Reserve Fenced Dog Park

A large, fully fenced off-leash reserve in a quiet residential pocket, triangular and tree-shaded, open 24/7. The mature trees and looping path make it a comfortable neighbourhood run with double-gated entry for security.

The rules. Off-leash inside the fenced area, on lead in the surrounding reserve. Entry is through double gates, so close each behind you. Keep your dog in view and under voice control, and clean up (bins are on site). The central depression can turn muddy and stagnant after heavy rain.

What's there. A drinking fountain with a tap for dogs and people near the north gate, benches scattered through the park, and a sheltered seat in the western corner just outside the fence. A packed, paved track loops the interior, and large mature trees give good shade.

Getting there. Off Pine Avenue, about five minutes from the Mornington town centre via Nepean Highway or Main Street; it can also be reached from Pitt, Downward or Adelaide Streets. There is a dedicated car park right by the gates at the end of Pine Avenue.

Nearby with the dogs. Main Street's dog-friendly cafes are about five minutes' drive, and Civic Reserve fenced dog park is the other main off-leash option in town.

When to go. Mid-week mornings or early afternoon are quietest. It gets busy on weekend mornings and weekday late afternoons after work; the trees keep it shaded on warm days.
