The Farm Byron Bay

The Farm Byron Bay at 11 Ewingsdale Road is a working farm precinct a 5 to 10 minute drive from Byron Bay's centre, home to the Three Blue Ducks restaurant, a produce store, a bakery and a flower shop among cattle, pigs, chickens, vegetable gardens and macadamia trees. The single fact that decides a visit with a dog: dogs are welcome across the grounds and in the restaurant's outdoor seating, on a lead at all times, and never inside any indoor area.

The dog setup

Because this is an active working farm with free-roaming livestock and native wildlife, the lead rule is enforced, not a suggestion. Leashed dogs can walk the self-guided paths around the grounds, sit at the outdoor seating of Three Blue Ducks, and use the picnic tables near the produce store and the grassy picnic areas. Indoor spaces, including the restaurant and produce store, are off-limits apart from service animals. Water bowls sometimes appear near the produce store, but there are no dedicated dog stations, so pack your own bowl and treats, and clean up immediately if there is an accident.

The vibe and the food

Three Blue Ducks anchors the precinct with farm-to-table plates built from what grows on site, and the produce store, bakery and flower shop give the visit more range than a single meal. The property runs farm tours and workshops, including school holiday programs, and a playground keeps kids occupied. Doors run Monday to Wednesday from 7am to 4pm and Thursday to Sunday from 7am to 8pm, so dinner with the dog is a Thursday-to-Sunday affair.

Getting there and parking

The farm sits on Ewingsdale Road, the main gateway corridor into Byron Bay, about 5 to 10 minutes from the town centre. Free on-site gravel parking is available, including two EV charging stations, and the walk from the car to the outdoor seating is short and flat.

Close by with the dogs

For an off-leash session to balance the strict on-lead rule here, Belongil Beach South Dog Exercise Area is Byron Bay's designated off-leash beach, a short drive back towards town, with shorebird nesting zones off-limits further north past Manfred Street. For another dog-friendly table with a garden, Folk Byron Bay on Ewingsdale Road itself is the natural pairing, and The Roadhouse is the other wholefood-leaning room on this corridor.
