The lead. Yum Cha Gallery serves authentic Cantonese yum cha and live seafood in Treetops Plaza at Burleigh Waters, with dogs welcome at the undercover outdoor tables just outside the restaurant.

Getting there. Find it at Shop 22, 7 Classic Way, inside Treetops Plaza. There is plenty of free shopping-centre parking and flat, easy access from the carpark to the outdoor tables.

Nearby with the dogs. Burleigh Head National Park has on-leash walking paths a short drive away, and Tallebudgera Creek dog beach is close by for off-leash time before or after the meal.

When to go. Yum cha is busiest at weekend lunch, so a weeknight or off-peak lunch keeps the outdoor tables calmer. Good for settled dogs who cope with plaza foot traffic.
