Broadmeadows Valley Park's Barry Road off-leash area is a large, unfenced stretch of open grass in Westmeadows, popular with locals who want space for their dogs to run rather than a small, boxed-in enclosure.

The rules. Dogs must be under effective voice control at all times. On school days the area reverts to on-leash between 8am and 5pm, Monday to Friday. The park is not fenced, so it suits dogs with reliable recall. Dogs must be registered, wear a current tag, and owners must clean up after them.
