The dog setup

The enclosure is fully fenced with established trees providing natural shade and bench seating around the edge. Bag dispensers and bins are on site, and the broader reserve adds BBQ facilities for the humans. The one design quirk to know before you go: the entry is a single gate rather than a double-gated airlock, so mind the gap when other dogs are already off-lead inside.

Worth knowing

Off-leash applies only inside the fence. Once you step into the playground area or the wider reserve, your dog is back on lead under Holdfast Bay's rules, and owners stay inside the enclosure with their dogs under effective control.
