Patritti

Patritti is a working urban winery at 13-23 Clacton Road, Dover Gardens, family run since 1926 and one of the last true urban vineyards in the country, with vines growing through the surrounding suburb. Dogs on leads are welcome in the outdoor cellar door courtyard while you taste.

The dog setup

Dogs stay on a lead in the outdoor courtyard and cellar door entry area, and the venue's terms ask owners to clean up after them. The indoor tasting spaces are off limits, which is standard under food safety rules. Bring your own water bowl rather than counting on one being spare, and keep your dog settled when the courtyard fills on event afternoons.

The vibe

Cellar II runs daily tastings, wines by the glass, and the non alcoholic juices and alcohol removed wines the winery is also known for, alongside Shiraz and fortified styles including muscat. From Thursday to Sunday there is food in house, and Friday evenings plus Saturday and Sunday afternoons bring rotating food trucks and live music. Weekday afternoons are the calm window for a tasting with a dog underfoot; event slots are livelier and worth booking ahead.

Getting there and parking

Hours run 10am to 5pm Monday to Thursday, to 9pm on Friday, 10am to 5pm Saturday and 11am to 5pm Sunday. There is on site parking, with residential street parking on Clacton Road as a backup, and the path from the street to the courtyard is flat and easy.
