The basics. Slacks Creek Off Leash Dog Park, also known locally as Mabel Park Fenced Dog Park, is a fenced off-leash enclosure within Mabel Park on Snowdon Street, Slacks Creek. It is a straightforward, secure space designed for dogs to run and socialise, suited to local residents wanting a quick run rather than a destination outing.

Rules and facilities. Dogs may be off-leash only inside the fence. Keep your dog leashed in the car park and on any trails within the broader Mabel Park, and maintain voice control and line of sight at all times. The enclosure has a double-gated entry, lighting for early or late visits, bench seating, water stations and free onsite parking near the entrance. Waste bags and bins are provided, and dogs showing aggression must be removed immediately.

Getting there. By car, exit the M1 Pacific Motorway onto Daisy Hill Road or Paradise Road toward Slacks Creek and access the park via Snowdon Street. Local Logan City bus services stop on nearby roads with a short walk to the entrance. The park sits roughly 4-5 km from Hyperdome Shopping Centre.

When to go. Monday afternoons are typically the quietest, and early weekday mornings give you the best shot at having the place to yourself. Expect the heaviest turnout on Sunday mornings, afternoons and evenings, plus Friday afternoons and nights.

Nearby. For a post-walk coffee, Extraction Artisan Coffee, Portal Café and The Wrecking Brew are all in Slacks Creek.
