Sturdee Park Fenced Dog Park

Sturdee Park is a fully fenced, 24-hour off-leash dog park in Loganlea with separate yards for big and small dogs, a short walk from Loganlea Station.

The rules. Off-leash is permitted only inside the fenced enclosures, not in the surrounding park. Dogs need to stay under effective voice control even inside the fence, and aggressive or high-stress dogs should be leashed and removed straight away. Waste bags are provided at the gate, but it is worth bringing your own as a backup.

What's there. Separate fenced areas for large and small dogs, bench seating, a water fountain for dogs, shaded trees in parts of the park, and double-gated entries so nobody bolts on the way in. The wider park also has a playground, basketball court, skate area, BBQs and picnic tables, plus toilets.

Getting there. The park sits on Station Road (also listed as 11 Sylvia St), easily reached off Kingston Road or the Logan Motorway. Parking is free and plentiful right by the park. It is also an easy walk from Loganlea train station on the Beenleigh line, so it works as a car-free stop.

Nearby with the dogs. Riverdale Park Fenced Dog Park in nearby Meadowbrook is another fenced option if Sturdee is busy, and The Coffee Club Meadowbrook has outdoor seating for a coffee afterwards.

Weekday mornings and late evenings are quietest; Saturday and Sunday afternoons, and the after-work window from around 4 to 6pm, draw the biggest crowds. If your dog is nervous around groups, aim for a weekday visit.
