Lady's Dog Park

Lady's Dog Park is a small, fully fenced off-leash park at 27-29 Maranda Street in a quiet residential pocket of Shailer Park, open around the clock and built for a short, secure run rather than a big day out. It is the kind of place you detour to for twenty minutes of fetch, not a destination park.

The dog setup

The fence is the headline here: a full perimeter with a proper gate means small dogs and escape artists can be let off without the usual nerves. Logan City Council's effective-control rules still apply, so stay inside with your dog, keep them within sight and responding to you, and leash up and leave if play turns rough. Declared dangerous dogs are barred from off-leash areas, waste goes in the provided bins, and it is sensible to have vaccinations current before mixing at any off-lead park.

On site you get a covered seating area, picnic tables and benches, a dog water station, waste bag dispensers and wheelchair-accessible entry. Grass is patchy in places after heavy use, so expect a functional training space more than a manicured lawn.

The vibe

Weekday mornings are the calm sessions; weekends, Sunday in particular, bring the neighbourhood crowd, which is either the point or the problem depending on your dog. Because the park is small, a busy half hour can feel crowded, so nervous dogs do best before work or early evening. It suits dogs that want a contained sprint or a quiet training block rather than long social play.

Getting there and parking

Maranda Street sits just off Bryants Road in Shailer Park, with street parking out the front and bus routes along Bryants Road stopping within a short walk. The M1 is close, which makes it a handy stop if you are passing through Logan.
