Hickman Place is a small, local off-leash patch at the quiet end of a Seville cul-de-sac. It is a neighbourhood exercise spot for nearby residents rather than a destination park: a single grassed slope, unfenced, best for a quick run and a social sniff close to home.

The rules. It is listed as an off-leash area by Yarra Ranges Council and is open 24 hours. It is unfenced and open to the surrounding residential street, so reliable recall is essential. Bring your own bags and pick up after your dog. You may notice older signage that reads no dogs off lead, which conflicts with the current council designation, so worth being aware of if a neighbour queries it.

What's there. Not much, by design. A simple open grassed space on a steep block, with on-street parking along Hickman Place. It is unlit, so keep visits to daylight hours.

Getting there. Off the Warburton Highway in Seville, at the residential end of Hickman Place. Parking is easy as the spot rarely gets busy. The nearest bus stops are on the highway, then a short walk in.

Unfenced and on a slope beside houses, so this is a recall-only spot. Fine for a quick leg-stretch, not for a dog that bolts.

Generally quiet throughout the week; Sunday and Monday afternoons are the calmest. Good for locals wanting an easy daytime run rather than a big outing.
