Pebbles Park Fenced Dog Park

Pebbles Park is a fully fenced off-leash dog park in Ripley's Providence estate, open 24/7 and built as a local run-around rather than a destination park. Basic agility gear, shaded seating and a water tap cover the essentials, and the whole space is managed by Ipswich City Council.

The dog setup

The enclosure is a single fenced run with ramps and poles for clambering, shaded picnic tables and benches for owners, and a drinking water tap. Reports suggest the fountain is not always reliable, so bring a portable bowl as backup.

There is no separate small-dog area, so take care at busy times with a small or nervous dog. The park sits beside a children's playground and connects to the estate's recreational paths for an on-lead warm-up.

Worth knowing

Off-leash applies inside the fence, but dogs still need to be under effective voice control at all times. Pick up after your dog, carry your own bags in case the bins are unstocked, and remove any dog showing aggression or excessive barking straight away.

Max: the grass here can grow long between mowing, so give it a scan for snakes before letting your dog off the lead in warmer months.

Getting there and parking

The park is at 622 Ripley Road, Ripley, with free parking in a dedicated car park and on the surrounding residential streets. There is a wheelchair-accessible entrance, and local Translink bus routes run through the estate, though the nearest stop on Ripley Road leaves a short walk.

Weekend mornings and afternoons, plus weekday afternoons after 4pm, draw the busiest crowds. Weekday mid-mornings are the quiet window if your dog prefers the fenced space to itself.
