An off-leash reserve along Plenty Road that backs onto Darebin Creek, with open grass, mature trees and a creek-side trail. The walking path is the draw here: handy for combining an off-leash run with a longer lead walk by the water.

The rules. Dogs are off-leash in the designated areas under voice control, but on lead in the car park and on the paved paths that link to the reserve. Keep clear of the playground. Waste bags are sometimes provided, but bring your own to be safe, and clean up after your dog.

What's there. A drinking fountain, park benches, paved and unpaved trails, and on-site parking off Plenty Road.

Getting there. Off Plenty Road, Reservoir 3073, near the Darebin Creek trail. Watch for the car park signage. Buses run along Plenty Road with stops near the reserve.

Busiest weekend mornings and around 5pm on weekdays. Weekday mornings are quieter for reactive dogs. The central area can get busy, so use the creek-side trail when you want more room.
