Bundoora Park Fenced Dog Park

Bundoora Park Fenced Dog Park is a compact, fully fenced off-leash enclosure on the southern side of the much larger Bundoora Park, off Curtain Street. It is open 24/7 and double-gated, so it suits a quick, secure run for dogs of any size.

The rules. Dogs may be off-leash only inside the fenced perimeter; leash up in the surrounding parkland. The entry is double-gated, so latch the outer gate before opening the inner one. Owners must stay inside the fence and supervise, and cleaning up after your dog is required.

What's there. The enclosure is roughly 45m by 30m, mostly grass with worn dirt patches through the middle from heavy use. There is a small agility course in one corner, a drinking fountain with a built-in dog bowl, bench seating, and waste bags and bins. Shade is limited in the middle of the day, so pick your timing in summer.

Getting there. The park is at 17 Curtain Street, an easy turn off Plenty Road, with free parking adjacent on Curtain Street. On public transport, the Route 86 tram runs along Plenty Road with a stop near the park entrance.

When to go. Sunday mornings are the busiest. Weekday mornings are quietest and give an active dog free run of the space and the agility gear. Good for a fast, contained run rather than a long ramble.
