Mannum Dog Exercise Reserve (Hardy Street)

The Mannum Dog Exercise Reserve on Hardy Street is a fully fenced off-leash park a short drive from the Mannum town centre. It is a straightforward setup: a secure patch of open ground where your dog can run flat out without you watching the boundary, which makes it worth the trip from the river frontage walks that keep dogs on lead.

The dog setup

The reserve is good-sized open space with reliable perimeter fencing and a water tap on site. The main play feature is a concrete tunnel, along with grassed areas for a proper run. Poo bag dispensers and a waste bin are provided, and a courtesy broom hangs on hand for keeping the entry tidy, which tells you the locals actually use it.

Standard off-leash etiquette applies: supervise your dog the whole time and clean up after them. Carry a spare bag anyway, as dispensers run empty in busy stretches.

Max: if you have a larger dog, give the concrete tunnel a quick size-up before letting them charge through. What works for a kelpie might leave a broad-chested breed wedged.

The vibe

This is a quiet, local spot rather than a destination park. Expect regulars at weekday mornings and a calmer atmosphere than the big metro fenced parks, and the river town setting keeps things relaxed between zoomies.

Getting there and parking

Access is by car, with parking at the reserve off Hardy Street in Port Mannum. There is no public transit stop at the site, so plan on driving in. The Mannum town centre, with supplies and food, is only a few minutes back over the river.
