BIG4 Mannum Holiday Park

BIG4 Mannum Holiday Park sits on the banks of the Murray River on Purnong Road at Mannum, about an hour and twenty minutes from Adelaide. It is a full-service riverfront park with cabins, powered and unpowered sites, a camp kitchen and direct frontage to the water, and it takes dogs year-round on sites and in designated dog-friendly cabins, provided management approves the booking first.

Dogs at the BIG4 Mannum Holiday Park

Dogs are allowed on all powered and unpowered camping sites, and in selected cabins marked with the dog-friendly symbol when booking; those cabins are limited and book out first. Every dog needs prior approval from management before arrival. A minimum $50 cleaning surcharge applies to dog-friendly cabin bookings, and the cap is two dogs per booking. In the park, dogs must be supervised at all times and never left unattended, including inside cabins or tents, kept on a lead everywhere, and kept out of the amenity blocks and camp kitchen.

Worth knowing

Reviewers rate the park's clean cabins and amenities and its lagoon-and-river outlook, and the setting suits fishing, boating and watching the paddlesteamers work past the frontage. If you are travelling solo, plan where your dog waits secured at your site while you cook or shower, because the communal buildings are off-limits. Bring your own bedding, bowls and treats.

Getting there and parking

The park is on Purnong Road with parking at your site, and Mannum's township is an easy walk for supplies and coffee with outdoor seating. The riverfront paths and Mary Ann Reserve give you on-lead walking, and permitted stretches of riverbank let the dog paddle.

Close by with the dogs

Elly Jayne at Big 4 is the coffee stop inside the park itself, Haythorpe Reserve is a cheaper bush-camping alternative nearby, and Mannum Hotel is the in-town pub option if the park is full.
