Cafe Mannum

Cafe Mannum sits at 76 Cliff Street in the town centre, part of the Mannum Motel complex and a short walk from the Murray River. Dogs are welcome in the outdoor seating, and the grassed tables out front make this the easy coffee-and-breakfast stop in a river town that is otherwise short on dog-friendly dining.

The dog setup

Dogs join you in the outdoor and grassed seating areas on a leash, with easy access straight off the Cliff Street footpath. The lawn gives a dog room to settle flat rather than squeezed between chairs. There is no dedicated water station, so bring your own bowl, particularly on a warm Murraylands morning or through the weekend breakfast rush.

Worth knowing

The cafe trades Monday to Friday from 8am to 5pm, Saturdays 8am to 3pm, and Sundays 8am to 11am. Cooked breakfast runs Friday to Sunday from 8am to 11am, and the rest of the day covers coffee, cakes, pastries, small plates, cheese platters and a short light-lunch list, with a licensed drinks selection. It is casual and unhurried, and the motel attachment means off-street parking is close at hand.

Getting there and parking

The address is 76 Cliff Street, on the main street side of the Mannum Motel. Use the motel's off-street parking or kerbside bays along Cliff Street, and the approach to the outdoor tables is flat and step-free from the footpath.

Close by with the dogs

Mary Ann Reserve on the riverbank is a short walk away for a leashed leg-stretch past the paddlesteamers, and the Mannum Waterfalls trails a short drive out of town take dogs on a lead. For a proper run, the Port Mannum Dog Exercise Reserve at 15 Hardy Street is fully fenced with double gates, agility gear and water stations.
