Elly Jayne is a casual, walk-up coffee spot inside the BIG4 Mannum Holiday Park on Purnong Road, set on the bank of the Murray River. It is a simple proposition: decent coffee, a river view, and dogs welcome, which makes it an easy stop whether you are staying at the park or passing through Mannum with the dog.

The dog setup

Dogs are welcome at the outdoor riverfront seating near the river and the camp kitchen. The wider BIG4 park requires dogs to be on a lead and under control at all times, and that applies here, so settle in with a short lead and bring your own water bowl for the outdoor tables. Caravan park traffic means other dogs are usually around, which suits a sociable dog and less so a reactive one.

Worth knowing

The draw is coffee with a river view, and the PS Murray Princess occasionally glides past while you wait. Expect coffee, snacks and quick breakfast items rather than a full menu. Hours are limited and lean toward weekend mornings, so check ahead before making the trip specifically for it. The venue has a wheelchair-accessible entrance and parking.

Getting there and parking

The cafe is inside the holiday park at 70 Purnong Road, a short drive from the Mannum town centre across the river. On-site parking is available right at the park.

Close by with the dogs

The Murray River bank runs right past for a pre or post-coffee walk on lead, and Mary Ann Reserve in town makes a longer riverfront stroll. If you are staying over, the park itself is listed on PawScapes as BIG4 Mannum Holiday Park, and Mannum Hotel is the in-town option. Cafe Mannum covers the town-centre coffee run, and Johnstone Park Fenced Dog Park at Murray Bridge is down the road for an off-lead run.
