Mannum Hotel

The Mannum Hotel is a historic riverside pub at 15 Randell Street on the western bank of the Murray, opposite Mary Ann Reserve. It does double duty for dog owners: the bar and bistro welcome dogs in the public areas, and pub accommodation takes dogs on request in designated rooms.

The public side of the pub is where it really shows its colours: reviewers regularly call out staff and locals greeting dogs, with water bowls appearing at the table. It is an old-fashioned country pub in the best sense, with a balcony, cold beer and pub-classic meals in the bistro.

Worth knowing

The main street location puts shops and cafes within a short walk, and Mary Ann Reserve directly across the road gives you open riverside grass for an on-lead stroll. The paved paths along the Murray make a proper morning walk easy without getting in the car. If your dog needs more room to burn energy, the caravan parks on the edge of town have more space and easier ground-level access.

Getting there and parking

The hotel is on the main street of Mannum, roughly an hour and a quarter east of Adelaide through the Adelaide Hills or via the South Eastern Freeway and Callington. Street parking along Randell Street is straightforward outside peak mealtimes.

Close by with the dogs

For an off-lead run, Johnstone Park Fenced Dog Park in Murray Bridge is about half an hour away. Other riverside options include BIG4 Mannum Holiday Park on Purnong Road and Swamp Hen Reserve at Walker Flat.
