What visitors mention
Boyd Park is a fully fenced off-leash dog park on Boyd Road in Nundah, with agility equipment, water and evening lighting. The secure fencing and after-dark lights make it a genuinely practical option for a run before or after work, not just a daytime one.
The rules. The off-leash area is enclosed, so dogs can run within the boundary while under effective voice control. Owners stay inside the enclosure and supervise at all times, and you clean up after your dog, so bring bags. Access runs until late in the evening. On the surrounding paths and the wider park, dogs are on-lead.
What is there. It is a grassed enclosure with dedicated agility equipment, an on-site water station and shaded seating for owners. Automatic lighting comes on at dusk for safe evening visits. Note that the grass can turn dusty and bare during dry spells. There is no separate small-dog pen, so size up the crowd before letting a small or nervous dog off-lead.

Getting there. Address is 11 Boyd Road, off Sandgate Road. Street parking is along Boyd Road but gets competitive at busy times, so be ready to walk in from surrounding streets. Nundah train station and the Sandgate Road buses make it walkable for locals.
Nearby with the dogs. Nundah Village is a short drive or walk for a dog-friendly coffee afterwards, with footpath seating at several cafes on the strip.
When to go. Weekday evenings from around 5pm to 7pm and weekend mornings from about 7am to 10am are the busiest. Midweek mornings and early afternoons are quietest and best for a shy dog or an off-peak parking run.
