Paws On Point

Paws On Point is a private, fully fenced dog exercise and training field on Coogee Road in Mariginiup, available for exclusive hire. Despite the park label, this is not a public dog park: you book the entire space for your session, which means no sharing with strangers and no unpredictable encounters.

The rules

Access is by pre-booked private session only, arranged in advance through the operator, with sessions generally running 8am to 8pm daily. You have the field to yourself for the slot, and the usual hire etiquette applies: manage your time, clean up after your dog and leave the space ready for the next booking. Bring your own water and waste bags, as facilities are minimal.

The draw is a secure, fully enclosed rural field where dogs can run off lead with the escape risk managed. For a public option, the Edgar Griffiths Dog Park at Wanneroo and the Elcar Park Fenced Dog Park at Joondalup are both established free alternatives. The Yaberoo Budjara Heritage Trail adds an on-lead bushwalk through the same northern corridor.

When to go

Any booked slot works, but early morning and evening sessions are cooler through the Perth summer, and the field holds little shade. Weekend slots go first, so book ahead rather than rolling up.
