Dôme Café - Banksia Grove

Dôme Café sits inside Banksia Grove Village Shopping Centre on Joondalup Drive, a reliable all-day stop for coffee, breakfast and cakes. For dog owners the draw is a flat, easy-access alfresco area where your dog can settle while you eat.

The dog setup

Dogs are welcome in the outdoor alfresco seating, not inside the cafe, which is standard across Dôme venues. Bring your dog straight to the outdoor tables rather than walking through the indoor dining room. Staff will usually bring a water bowl if you ask.

Worth knowing

The menu is broad, covering breakfast through to lunch, the steak sandwich, avo smash, lasagne, waffles and a long cake cabinet, with consistent coffee. It runs busy and family-friendly, so mornings and mid-afternoon are calmer for a dog that prefers less foot traffic. Doors open from 6am daily, closing 7pm on weekdays and 5pm on weekends. Weekday mornings are the quietest window for a relaxed table outside. Good for a low-key errand-run stop with a settled dog.

Getting there and parking

Free parking is plentiful in the shopping centre car park, and access to the outdoor area is flat and step-free from the lot, which makes it easy with an older dog or a pram.

Close by with the dogs

Local green space around the Banksia Grove parks suits a leg-stretch before or after your coffee, with the City of Wanneroo allowing off-lead exercise under effective control in most general reserves. For a proper session, Edgar Griffiths Dog Park in Wanneroo is the closest major fenced facility. Hunter and Fleur is the neighbourhood alternative coffee.
