Mapleton Dog Park

Mapleton Lilyponds Dog Park is a fully fenced off-leash area in the heart of Mapleton, tucked into the wider Lilyponds parkland in the Sunshine Coast hinterland. The draw is a secure, shaded run with a double-gate entry, which makes it one of the more relaxed spots in the range to let a dog off the lead without watching the road.

The rules. Dogs run off-leash inside the fenced enclosure, but must be on lead everywhere else in the surrounding Lilyponds Park. Keep your dog under effective voice control, pick up after them, and make sure they are vaccinated and sociable before going in. Standard Sunshine Coast Council off-leash conditions apply.

What's there. The enclosure is securely fenced with a double-gate system to stop escapes at the entry. There is natural tree shade, seating, and open ground to run on. Bins are provided, and the adjacent Lilyponds parkland has picnic spots, a playground and public amenities. Ramps and rails make the area easy to get into.

Getting there. The park sits off the main Lilyponds area, commonly accessed via Neloway Crescent, Mapleton, with free parking close by. This is a hinterland location with limited public transport, so plan to drive.

Mornings and late afternoons are busiest as locals come before and after work, which is great for socialising. For a quieter run, aim for mid-morning or early afternoon.
