La Galette 2.0

La Galette 2.0 is an authentic French creperie in the Mapleton village precinct, run by a Brittany native serving buckwheat galettes, sweet crepes and pastries. For dog owners it is a relaxed, welcoming stop with outdoor and footpath seating where your dog can settle beside you.

The dog setup. Dogs are welcome at the outdoor and footpath tables. Water bowls are often put out, but bring your own to be safe. Order at the counter first, then take an outdoor table where your dog can sit by your side.

Good to know. The savoury buckwheat galettes are gluten-free and made from scratch, and the cafe is known for its almond croissants, madeleines and coffee. Hours run roughly Thursday to Sunday, 8am to 2pm, but they shift seasonally, so check before you drive up.

Getting there. The cafe is at 5/1 Post Office Road, Mapleton, about a 30-minute drive up the range from Maroochydore. Street parking is available along Post Office Road and around the village.

Nearby with the dogs. Mapleton Lilyponds and its fenced off-leash dog park are a short trip away for a run. Dogs are not permitted in Mapleton Falls National Park, so keep walks to the town and Lilyponds.

Go earlier in the day and check the current hours on their socials first, since the weekend-only pattern can catch visitors out.
