Fiorio & Co - French Bistro and Bar

Fiorio & Co is a small French bistro and bar at Shop 3/182 Main Street in Montville, in the heart of the Sunshine Coast hinterland village. Dogs are welcome at the outdoor tables out front, which makes it an easy dinner stop on a Main Street stroll with your dog.

The dog setup

Well-behaved leashed dogs join you at the outdoor seating along the Main Street footpath, not inside the dining room. It is a compact, intimate setting, so this suits a dog that will settle quietly beside your chair while Main Street foot traffic passes. Bring your own water bowl to be safe, and keep your dog close to the table so staff and other diners can move past easily.

The menu

The kitchen now runs a French bistro menu of seasonal plates, crepes and galettes, with classics like creme brulee on the dessert list, plus wines, cocktails and beer from the bar. The dining room is evening-focused: dinner service Monday and Friday from 5pm, Saturday from 5pm after a daytime sitting, and Sunday from 9am, with Tuesday to Thursday closed. Check the current hours before you drive up the range, as village trading times shift with the season.

Getting there and parking

Montville sits on the Blackall Range about 25 minutes inland from Nambour. Main Street parking is free but tight on weekends and public holidays, so arrive before late morning or take one of the side streets off Flaxton Drive. The bistro is mid-block, so a short walk from any village park is likely.

While you are out there

Montville is a good base for a hinterland weekend: At Remingtons B&B Private Cottages and Spicers Clovelly Estate both take dogs, and over in Mapleton the Mapleton Public House adds another dog-friendly dinner option on the range.

Aim for an early Friday or Sunday sitting if you want the quietest corner with a dog in tow.
