Brickyard Road Dog Park

Brickyard Road Dog Park is a fenced off-leash area on the Downfall Creek corridor in Geebung, reached via the Brickyard Road pedestrian bridge or Bilsen Road. It shares the same creek-side reserve as the larger Downfall Creek off-leash area nearby, so expect a similar leafy, creek-fed setting in a smaller, fenced footprint.

The dog setup

The fenced section keeps dogs contained within the park boundary, which makes it useful if your dog's recall is still a work in progress. Keep dogs leashed until you are through the gate, and clean up after them; standard Brisbane City Council rules apply. The setting is leafy and creek-side, so bring your own water as a backup since the water supply is not guaranteed.

Max: this reserve gets referred to under a couple of different names locally. Confirm you are at the fenced Brickyard Road section, not the larger unfenced Downfall Creek area, if a contained space is what you need.

Worth knowing

It is quieter than the main Downfall Creek reserve, so it is a solid pick for early starts or for dogs that do better with fewer other dogs around. The creek corridor brings shade and birds, and it can be damp underfoot after rain, so expect muddy paws in wet stretches.

Getting there and parking

Access is via Bilsen Road, Geebung, or across the Brickyard Road pedestrian bridge from the Virginia side. Geebung railway station is within walking distance, which makes it one of the easier dog parks in Brisbane's north to reach without a car. Street parking is available on the surrounding residential streets.

Close by with the dogs

Downfall Creek Dog Park is the bigger sibling area in the same corridor, Burnie Brae Off-leash Dog Park is the other fenced option in the area, and The Cove Kitchen & Bar is the local stop for a post-walk bite.
