Kinkuna Park Fenced Dog Park

Kinkuna Park Fenced Dog Park sits on Impressions Drive in the Allara estate in Eglinton, offering two separate fully fenced off-leash areas, one of which is set aside for small dogs. It is one of the better-equipped dog parks in Perth's northern coastal corridor, with agility obstacles alongside the usual sand pit and water station.

The dog setup

Dogs can run off-leash inside the fenced areas but must be leashed in the surrounding parkland. Use the double-entry gates and make sure they are shut behind you before letting your dog off. Supervision by someone 16 or older is required, and any dog showing aggression should be removed straight away. On site you get two separated fenced zones, a water station, shaded seating, sand for digging and a few training obstacles for active dogs. Bins and bag dispensers are provided, though it is worth carrying spares.

Pepsi: the small-dog side is worth seeking out if your dog gets overwhelmed by bigger, boisterous playmates. It is quieter and still has shade and water.

Worth knowing

Sunday mornings and evenings, plus Thursday afternoons, are the busiest times. Tuesday afternoons tend to be the quietest if your dog needs a calmer visit. The estate is still growing, so expect some construction traffic on the surrounding streets.

Getting there and parking

The park is on Impressions Drive in the Allara estate, just off Marmion Avenue. Free street parking is available right beside the park, and it is close enough to walk from most of the surrounding streets.

Close by with the dogs

The Amberton Beach Bar & Restaurant is a short drive away and allows dogs in its outdoor alfresco area overlooking the ocean, and Eglinton Dog Park is the suburb's other off-leash option.
