Orion Cafe

Orion Cafe sits on Brazier Road in Yanchep, on the rise above Yanchep Lagoon, and the ocean view is the whole point. Dogs are welcome at the outdoor tables, which look straight out over the water.

The dog setup. Dogs stay outside with you in the outdoor seating area, on leash beside your table. Water bowls are not a given, so pack a collapsible one, especially on a warm afternoon.

Good to know. Regulars come for the fish and chips, milkshakes and cooked breakfasts, and there is a shaded playground alongside, so it suits a family-plus-dog outing. It trades on the view and the casual coastal feel rather than anything fancy.

Getting there. 10 Brazier Road, Yanchep. Free parking on site and on the surrounding streets.

Nearby with the dogs. The lagoon below the cafe is a no-dogs swimming area, so for an off-leash run head a few minutes north to Yanchep Dog Beach, where the leash comes off south of the Nautical Court access.

When to go. Weekend breakfast is the peak; midweek is easy for an outdoor table with the dog. Fish and chips at sunset is the obvious play.
