Bridget's House

Bridget's House is a cafe run out of a converted vintage pink school bus at Oldham Park, 81 Yanchep Beach Road, behind the Sports and Social Club in Yanchep. The whole operation happens outdoors on the grass around the bus, which makes it one of the easiest dog stops on Perth's northern coastal fringe: there is no indoor room to exclude a dog from.

The dog setup

Dogs are welcome at the outdoor tables and picnic-style seating spread under the gum trees around the bus, on lead and settled on the grass beside you. Bring your own water bowl to be safe, as the setup is casual rather than kitted out. The park's open space gives a dog room to lie down and watch the world go past while you work through the cabinet.

Worth knowing

The food is wholesome and largely house made: baked sweets, sausage rolls, cakes, burgers and breakfast and light lunch plates, with a strong selection of vegetarian, vegan and dairy-free options, and good coffee plus specialty lattes such as strawberry matcha. It trades Wednesday to Sunday, roughly 9am to 2pm, with Mondays and Tuesdays off. The bus has shifted spots around the park before, so check their socials before making a special trip.

Getting there and parking

The cafe sits at Oldham Park on Yanchep Beach Road, with parking on site behind the Sports and Social Club. The walk from car to picnic table is short and flat, and the grass oval right beside the bus is handy for an on-lead leg stretch either side of coffee.

Pair it with

For an off lead run after breakfast, the Eglinton Dog Park is a short drive south, or make a morning of it at Yanchep Dog Beach, where the sand and shallows give a proper swim before cake. Orion Cafe is another dog-friendly coffee option in Yanchep if the bus is closed.
