Victory Terrace Fenced Dog Park

Victory Terrace Fenced Dog Park is a small official off-leash park on Jewell Lane in East Perth's Riverside precinct, roughly 1,100 square metres of grassed, tree-shaded ground fully enclosed by fencing. It is open 24 hours and gives dogs a secure spot to run without any risk of straying onto the busy roads nearby.

The rules. Dogs can go off-leash only within the fenced area, entered through a double-gated entry for safety. Owners must keep voice control over their dogs at all times, and waste bags and bins are provided for cleanup. There is no separate area for small versus large dogs, so it is one shared space for all sizes.

What's there. Expect grass underfoot, a few mature trees for shade, and several benches for owners. There is no water fountain on site, so bring your own bowl and water. There are also no public toilets nearby.

Getting there. The park is accessed via Victory Terrace or Moore Street. Parking is mostly paid street parking and can be tight at peak times. It is a short walk from Claisebrook train station and from bus stops along Lord Street.

Nearby. Cafes around Claisebrook Cove and along Royal Street generally offer outdoor seating and welcome well-behaved dogs, though it's worth calling ahead to confirm. Ozone Reserve Fenced Dog Park is a short walk away for a change of scenery, and Quest East Perth has pet-friendly apartments in the area for anyone staying overnight.

Early mornings from about 7am to 9am and late afternoons from 4pm to 6pm are the busiest windows on both weekdays and weekends. Mid-morning, early afternoon or after 8pm tend to be quiet, which suits an anxious dog well.
