Saint Georges Crescent Reserve Unfenced Off-leash Dog Park

Saint Georges Crescent Reserve is a hillside waterfront park on Lower St Georges Crescent in Drummoyne, with panoramic views over Iron Cove. It is off-leash 24/7, but the ground is a steep grassy slope running from the road down to the water, so good recall is the deciding factor here.

The rules. Off-leash access is 24 hours a day, with dogs kept under effective voice control at all times. The reserve is unfenced, and dogs can run toward either the road at the top or the water at the bottom, so keep them within call. Pick up after your dog. Council dispensers are usually stocked, but bring your own bags to be safe.

The terrain. A sloping grassed hillside with some paved paths and mature trees for shade. There is direct access to the foreshore at the bottom for a swim, though the water's edge can turn muddy at low tide.

Getting there. Parking is competitive free on-street along St Georges Crescent. Buses run along Victoria Road and Lyons Road with a short walk down to the reserve.

It is busiest on weekday evenings after work and on weekend mornings and late afternoons. Mid-morning or early afternoon on a weekday is quietest. If your dog swims, aim for higher tide to avoid the mud. Good for confident dogs with reliable recall who enjoy a hill and a water view.
