Brett Park runs along Henley Marine Drive in Drummoyne, right beside the Bay Run, with an open grassy off-leash area bordering the Parramatta River. It is off-leash 24/7, which makes it an easy stop to pair with a walk around Iron Cove.

The rules. Off-leash access is 24 hours a day, but dogs must stay under effective control and return on recall. The area is unfenced and backs onto the busy Bay Run path and Henley Marine Drive, so keep your dog off the shared path and the road. Dogs stay on-leash in the car park, on footpaths and within 10 metres of the children's playground. Pick up after your dog and use the bins provided.

What's there. Open grass with some trees for shade, benches, and dog waste bins. Public toilets and a playground are in the wider park. Because it sits directly on the Bay Run, you can combine off-leash play here with a longer on-leash loop.

Getting there. Come in via Henley Marine Drive or Sisters Crescent. Street parking is available but gets busy on weekends. Buses run along Victoria Road with a short walk in, and Drummoyne Wharf is roughly a 5 to 8 minute walk for ferry commuters.

Nearby with the dogs. White Rabbit on Lyons Road is a well-rated dog-friendly cafe nearby. The Bay Run is on the doorstep for a scenic on-leash walk.

The off-leash grass and the shared path sit side by side with no fence between them. Watch the boundary near the path and keep recall sharp before letting your dog loose.

It is busiest on Sunday mornings and afternoons and around weekday commuting times. Weeknights and early Sunday evening are quietest. The park sits on the river, so if your dog swims, check tide charts for shallow water access. Good for a quick off-leash run bolted onto a Bay Run walk.
