Dellview Playspace

Dellview Playspace in Donvale is a small residential reserve, a quiet neighbourhood pocket of open grass with a children's playspace attached. It works as a low-key local leg-stretch rather than a destination dog park, and the creek corridor nearby is the real bonus for walkers.

The dog setup

The reserve is a designated off-lead area under Manningham City Council's dog order, but it is not fenced for containment, so effective voice or hand control and reliable recall are the entry requirement. Dogs go back on the lead within 15 metres of the playground equipment and any barbecue or picnic facilities, you carry a leash at all times, and waste gets picked up and binned. If you are unsure of the exact off-lead boundary, confirm it on the Manningham council website before unclipping.

Worth knowing

This is a shared local space, so dogs that rush children or other park users are a poor fit for the off-lead rules; the on-lead buffer around the playspace is enforced, not a suggestion.
