What visitors mention
Martindale Street Park Fenced Dog Park sits on Stringybark Drive in Chermside West, next to Woodside Rugby and Soccer oval. It is a quiet, fully fenced off-leash area with a flat grassy run, open 24 hours, and its two-ring layout is unusual enough to be worth knowing about before you go.
The rules. Dogs must be leashed when entering and exiting the fenced area, and owners need to keep a leash on hand, maintain voice control, and clean up waste immediately. Any dog showing aggression towards other dogs or people must be removed straight away. If children are around, particularly near the adjoining playground, keep a close eye on them too.
What's there. The park is set up as an outer fenced ring, which doubles as an informal agility course, wrapped around an inner fenced mini-oval that functions as the main off-leash run. There is a covered shelter shed for owners, a shaded children's playground next door, public toilets, and a gas barbecue area.

Getting there. The park is on Stringybark Drive, with street parking near the entrance. Brisbane City Council buses run along nearby main roads such as Hamilton Road, with a short walk needed to reach the park itself.
Nearby with the dogs. Table 26 at Westfield Chermside has a dedicated dog menu and pet-friendly alfresco dining, and Sasquatch Bar in Chermside also welcomes dogs outdoors, both around a five-minute drive away.
Weekday mornings before 8am, late afternoons from 4 to 6pm, and weekend mornings draw the biggest crowds. Mid-morning on a weekday, roughly 10am to 2pm, is the quiet window if you want the oval to yourselves.
