Pawfield Park Fenced Dog Park

Pawfield Park is a fully fenced, off-leash dog park inside the Caulfield Racecourse Reserve, with separate zones for small and large dogs and a double-gated entrance to stop escapes at the gate. It is one of the better-equipped fenced parks in Glen Eira, with agility gear and shade from mature trees.

The rules. Dogs must stay under effective voice control even inside the fence, and must be leashed within 20 metres of any organised sport or event on the reserve. Use the double gate properly, entering and closing one gate before opening the next, to stop dogs slipping out while the park is busy.

What's there. Compacted gravel and grass, a small obstacle/agility course, a water tap and bowl, seating, and mature-tree shade. Free parking is available nearby and the park is wheelchair accessible.

Getting there. The park sits at 2 Booran Road, Caulfield East, within the racecourse reserve. Caulfield Station is a short walk away and trams run along Glen Eira Road nearby, so it is easy to reach without a car.

Watch-outs. The ground turns muddy after rain, so bring a towel for the car. Because it sits within the broader racecourse reserve, check signage on event days as access can be affected.

When to go. Early mornings and late afternoons on weekdays are busiest with the regulars; sunny weekends draw a crowd too. Mid-morning or early afternoon on a weekday is your best bet for a quiet run. Good for dogs that need a secure, fenced space to burn off energy off-leash.
